Walsh Bay is the one people picture. Pier 8/9, the harbour on three sides, sandstone and timber, and a room that seats two hundred or holds five hundred standing. The Bayview runs the weddings here and does nothing else, which tends to show on the day. Ceremony on the pier, reception inside, and photographs that do not need anybody moving to a second location. Tell us your date and we will check what is still open, because Saturdays here go a long way out.

Set menus and beverage packages
Function menus are set rather than a la carte, because a room of forty ordering individually is a worse night for everyone. Names and price points are below and the full documents are PDFs.

Transport, parking and access
Circular Quay station is a 12 minute walk and Wynyard is 15. Coach and bridal car drop-off is directly on Hickson Road.
Parking. Nearest is Wilson Parking at Pier 8/9, entry from Hickson Road. Booking online with Wilson is usually cheaper. No car park of our own.
Accessibility. Step-free entry from Hickson Road, accessible bathroom on the dining level, lift access to the pier.

Booking terms and conditions
Reservation Commitment
- At Dine with Elements, we value genuine reservations. When you reserve a table with us, we hold that table for you and look forward to welcoming you. If your plans change, we ask that you give us sufficient notice so the table can be made available to another guest.
Table Allocation
- Specific tables are not allocated or guaranteed prior to arrival. Tables are allocated on the day according to availability, operational requirements and, where relevant, weather conditions.
Seating Time
- Reservations are allocated a seating time of up to 1.5 hours for groups of up to 7 guests and up to 2 hours for groups of 8 guests or more. These seating times are strictly maintained on Fridays and Saturdays and remain subject to availability on other days.
Group Dining & Set Menus
- Bookings of 10 guests or more require one of our Group Dining Set Menu options. Alternative dining arrangements for larger groups may be considered upon request, subject to management approval, availability and any applicable additional charges.
Deposits, Pre-Orders & Premium Wagyu
- For Set Menus or pre-orders, a minimum deposit of $300 is required for bookings of 6–7 guests and a minimum deposit of $500 for bookings of 8 guests or more.
- Different payment terms may apply to pre-orders, Set Menus, Premium Wagyu and other special arrangements. These may require a deposit, minimum deposit or prepayment. Where applicable, the specific payment, cancellation and forfeiture terms will be disclosed before you confirm the relevant order or arrangement.
Cancellations, No-Shows & Changes in Guest Numbers
- For standard reservations, cancellations or changes to guest numbers made more than 48 hours before the reservation time incur no charge.
- We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, including illness. However, once a reservation enters the 48-hour period, the table and associated capacity have been committed to your booking and may be difficult to reallocate. Accordingly, cancellations within 48 hours of the reservation time, non-attendance, or reductions in guest numbers will incur a $50 fee per affected guest, regardless of the reason for the change, including illness or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Where a Set Menu has been selected and confirmed, a cancellation within 48 hours, a no-show, or a reduction in guest numbers within 48 hours will incur a charge equivalent to the full Set Menu price for each affected guest.
- For group bookings of 6 guests or more, payments or deposits subject to the applicable booking terms may be non-refundable where the booking is cancelled within 48 hours.
Arrival & Table Readiness
- We make every effort to have your table ready at your reservation time. Occasionally, a short delay may occur while we complete the previous dining experience. We appreciate your understanding and will seat you as soon as possible.
Public Holidays & Weekend Surcharge
- A 15% surcharge applies on all public holidays. A 3% surcharge applies on Saturdays and Sundays.
Deals, Specials & Promotional Offers
- Unless otherwise stated, deals, specials and promotional offers are limited to bookings of up to 6 guests and are not available on public holidays or special event days.
Acceptance of Terms
- By completing a reservation, pre-order, Set Menu selection or other booking arrangement, you acknowledge and accept the terms applicable to that reservation or purchase, including any specific terms disclosed during the booking process.

What is the minimum spend in Walsh Bay?
It rises with the size of the space and the day of the week, and a coordinator prices it for your date. It is confirmed in your quote before anything is held, so the whole commitment goes on food, drink and service.
What deposit do you take and when is it due?
A deposit is required to hold the date and it comes off the final bill. The amount is stated in your proposal rather than buried in terms, and final numbers are confirmed seven days out.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. Tell us at enquiry rather than on the night and the kitchen builds it into the set menu rather than improvising a plate.
Is AV included?
Screens and microphones are included in the spaces marked AV in the table above. Anything beyond that, such as a full rig or a technician, is quoted separately.
Is there a noise curfew in Walsh Bay?
Amplified music and outdoor areas are subject to the venue licence and local conditions. The coordinator will tell you the exact cut-off for your space and date at proposal stage.
Can we bring our own cake?
Yes. Cake service covers plates, cutlery and cutting at every venue. Cakeage is $4 per person for a group of up to 15, or $60 per cake for 16 and over.
