Booking terms and conditions
Reservation Commitment
- At Dine with Elements, we value genuine reservations. When you reserve a table with us, we hold that table for you and look forward to welcoming you. If your plans change, we ask that you give us sufficient notice so the table can be made available to another guest.
Table Allocation
- Specific tables are not allocated or guaranteed prior to arrival. Tables are allocated on the day according to availability, operational requirements and, where relevant, weather conditions.
Seating Time
- Reservations are allocated a seating time of up to 1.5 hours for groups of up to 7 guests and up to 2 hours for groups of 8 guests or more. These seating times are strictly maintained on Fridays and Saturdays and remain subject to availability on other days.
Group Dining & Set Menus
- Bookings of 10 guests or more require one of our Group Dining Set Menu options. Alternative dining arrangements for larger groups may be considered upon request, subject to management approval, availability and any applicable additional charges.
Deposits, Pre-Orders & Premium Wagyu
- For Set Menus or pre-orders, a minimum deposit of $300 is required for bookings of 6–7 guests and a minimum deposit of $500 for bookings of 8 guests or more.
- Different payment terms may apply to pre-orders, Set Menus, Premium Wagyu and other special arrangements. These may require a deposit, minimum deposit or prepayment. Where applicable, the specific payment, cancellation and forfeiture terms will be disclosed before you confirm the relevant order or arrangement.
Cancellations, No-Shows & Changes in Guest Numbers
- For standard reservations, cancellations or changes to guest numbers made more than 48 hours before the reservation time incur no charge.
- We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, including illness. However, once a reservation enters the 48-hour period, the table and associated capacity have been committed to your booking and may be difficult to reallocate. Accordingly, cancellations within 48 hours of the reservation time, non-attendance, or reductions in guest numbers will incur a $50 fee per affected guest, regardless of the reason for the change, including illness or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Where a Set Menu has been selected and confirmed, a cancellation within 48 hours, a no-show, or a reduction in guest numbers within 48 hours will incur a charge equivalent to the full Set Menu price for each affected guest.
- For group bookings of 6 guests or more, payments or deposits subject to the applicable booking terms may be non-refundable where the booking is cancelled within 48 hours.
Arrival & Table Readiness
- We make every effort to have your table ready at your reservation time. Occasionally, a short delay may occur while we complete the previous dining experience. We appreciate your understanding and will seat you as soon as possible.
Public Holidays & Weekend Surcharge
- A 15% surcharge applies on all public holidays. A 3% surcharge applies on Saturdays and Sundays.
Deals, Specials & Promotional Offers
- Unless otherwise stated, deals, specials and promotional offers are limited to bookings of up to 6 guests and are not available on public holidays or special event days.
Acceptance of Terms
- By completing a reservation, pre-order, Set Menu selection or other booking arrangement, you acknowledge and accept the terms applicable to that reservation or purchase, including any specific terms disclosed during the booking process.

How is venue hire priced?
On a minimum spend across food and beverage rather than a flat room fee, so what you pay goes into the event itself. The figure moves with the venue, the day and the time of year, with Sunday to Thursday the lowest and December the highest. Send your date and guest numbers and a coordinator will come back with the exact minimum spend for that date.
What is the largest venue you can hire?
Walsh Bay, for a standing event. The pier restaurant with the boardwalk and The Bayview each take 380 seated or 750 standing. Pyrmont seats the most, at 260 seated or 400 standing.
Which venue hire suits a smaller budget?
Schniti Haberfield. It is the most modest room in the group and the easiest full venue to get on a Saturday, which usually makes it the lowest commitment in the group. A coordinator will confirm the minimum spend for your date.
Can we hire a venue on a Saturday?
Yes, subject to availability. Saturdays and Fridays are our busiest trade, so they go early and December goes earliest of all. Sunday to Thursday opens up far more readily. Send your date through and the reservations team will tell you what is still free.
Does exclusive use include the outdoor areas?
Yes. Where a venue has a courtyard, terrace or boardwalk, full venue hire includes it. That is stated per space in the table above.
How long do we get the venue for?
Standard hire is four to five hours plus bump-in. Longer runs are quoted, and licensing sets the hard finish at each site.
