Looking for a function venue in Sydney? Dine with Elements has function spaces right across Sydney, from a private room seating twenty to a whole pier restaurant holding five hundred standing.
There are three ways into this. If you know roughly how many guests, start with the size. If the location is fixed, start with the suburb. If you know the occasion but nothing else, start there and we will tell you which rooms suit it.
Table, group, private dining or venue hire
One question separates all four: how much of the restaurant comes out of general trade? Nothing, a table or an area, a room with a door, or the entire floor. Everything else follows from that.

Looked after, start to finish
An event is a hundred small decisions, and you should only have to make the ones that are actually yours. The rest is our job.
- One person, all the way through. The coordinator who answers your first call is the one who greets your guests on the night.
- The honest room, not the big one. Enough rooms between us that we can point you to the one that suits the night, even when it is not the one you asked about.
- Kitchens that cook properly at scale. Charcoal grills and a smokehouse, feeding a full room without turning into catering.
- Dietaries handled with care. Built into the menu from the start, so nobody sits waiting while the table eats.
- Nothing hidden. Real capacities, a clear minimum spend and a written proposal before you pay anything.

Frequently asked
How is a function priced?
On the space, the date and the number of guests. The reservations team confirms what applies before a date is held, so everything is agreed and service.
How many guests can you hold?
Up to 500 standing across the whole Walsh Bay pier. The largest seated capacity is Pyrmont, at 260 seated or 400 standing.
How far ahead should I book a function?
Six to eight weeks for most events, three to six months for a wedding, and by August for a December work party. Fridays in December go first.
What deposit is required?
It varies by space and size, and it is stated in the proposal rather than hidden in terms. The deposit comes off the final bill.
Can you cater off site?
Yes. The Belmore and Darlinghurst kitchens cater across Sydney metropolitan, with minimum numbers and notice depending on whether you want it delivered or cooked and served on site.
